William can be found training with the U12/13 Boys Elite 1 Group. At the beginning of the Academy he was placed into the Elite 2 tier, and from the offset dedicated himself to train and develop. Many players can seem disappointed at the prospect of not been placed in the most Elite level for his age – not William, he had something to prove!
After about 2 months of the program it became obvious that William had proved himself to gain promotion to the highest tier of his age bracket. Again many players would have just been satisfied with that but William continued to strive for more. His improvement technically in such a short space of time was excellent, and we now see this increased confidence in every drill with the quality of play that he provides.
As we move into the Spring and Summer Elite Academy sessions, we look forward to pushing William onto bigger and better things. He now has the technical ability to move forward and enhance his overall knowledge of what it takes to forge a career in the game of soccer.
